Luxury for the buyer has always been clear - A quality item that has form, function, and a high durability. Depending on the item of course, you wouldn't have a highly durable piece of luxury paper. But most of the time it's those 3 qualities that anyone would tell you is luxury. Often bespoke and somewhat exclusive. Most mid range and low quality items have only one or two of those qualities. As for the brick, imo the opportunity for "luxury" was missed there. It looks like a would-be purse. The handles should have been darker, and wider, and more reminiscent of something you might see in a medieval town or blacksmith's shop. Without all the soot and dirt. Now that would have been luxurious. Cause nobody else would have one, and it wouldn't look like you just took handles off an old purse from goodwill.

Once wrapped a bicycle saddle in the LV leather from a used bag. I make custon bicycle saddles for over 10 years. When I posted the saddle on facebook, 2 days later, a friend called me. He had a friend who was a laywer at LV and he said she checked the work and where thinking to contact me. Basically it was the same. He said I was lucky, no I know it wasnˋt a joke. pfff

As much as I like your content, I think you make one mistake here. Drug abuse and addiction is an individual problem. Zionism (just another word for one form of imperialism) and its propaganda is a collective phenomenon. Therefore the reassuring aspect is also a collective one. This is very important, as you have to overcome the defense of an entire group of people reassuring each other again and again that they're right and everyone else is wrong. But if my neighbour thinks the same way I do, how can I be wrong? To expect this kind of change would be a bit like ecpecting the cure from alcoholism in a pub. I hope it's getting clear what I mean. But hey please don't stop your brilliant work!

The exact same thing happens with the luxury car brands. Anyone who thinks they're getting a good deal buying an older Mercedes or BMW or Audi, think again. They design the cars to fail after a certain period, and the parts to get it going again are so expensive, that all the older cars are going to the junkyard to be crushed. So they're the same way, they also don't want their brand being thought of as older or used, or something that poorer people can afford. And they see to it that this is the case. So you might buy that 5, 10, 15 year old mercedes and drive it for awhile. But it's going to bleed you and you'll just end up getting rid of it.

The only thing that would be illegal is making an item they make and trying to pass it off as an original LV. That's counterfeiting. This is reusing. Brilliant.

I refuse to buy designer brands purely on the ethics that they frequently destroy overstock and unsold inventory to create false sense of scarcity. Big brands could make a KILLING selling these bags they'd otherwise destroy to people like Corter to greenwash their brand/ great PR in being seen as "ethically good" but in reality, it's about the quality of the product not the brand. Brands have become cheap in their fat wealth of assuming people will be stupid enough to buy their junk products labeled designer and exclusive.

The majority of manufacturers, large and small, are really going to great lengths to stop any kind of reselling whatsoever. And now we have AI to thank (look up Red Points) for reporting items as something they are not and getting them removed from selling platforms. And for the cherry on top, sites like eBay openly admit that if any manufacturer contacts them and asks for an item to be removed, regardless if any policies have been violated or laws broken, they will happily remove the item. I wonder what other selling platforms are also following this rule. It’s no longer getting weird, the current state of everything is full-blown bizarro-land.

Do you ever get concerned that as you out more and more work out in to the world that eventually one day it will reach a critical limit and all you will be doing is minor repairs on things you made 5,10,15 years ago? I'm petrified that one day this will be my life.

Just an advice. Frenchie talking here. LV was created by a homeless boy when he was young. Credit goes to him. If you recycle his products, please do not put your OWN LOGO at the back. Be sensitive enough and put your logo inside of your wallet. People often forgets that the material they are using was invented by sweat and blood from someone. Just awareness here and a little sensitivity. Have compassion even for those people that are not around anymore.This person was a no joke for french people. We respect his works like a pride for France. We don’t care about who owns the corporations now. It is the legacy that counts.

OK I find this funny, currently in Vietnam HCMC and a lady is selling LV knock-offs on a dirty tarp on the ground outside of Louis Vuitton, I wonder if she has received a letter.. The funniest thing is the stores security guard was standing less than 2 meters away.

All the 'luxury' brands have been caught to be using sweat shops in Europe. Even Hermes got caught for having one in Italy, illegal immigrants, round the clock production, no holidays. I only buy second hand or from local artisans I personally know.

I hate to throw quality away too, and I like to make something new out of something else, especially when only 1% is damaged. A lot of times, it's hard to believe, but just cleaning something can make it like brand new, and what is even harder to believe, they got it dirty and instead of cleaning it, they throw it away. Here's one I bet you get " I didn't know they made those". I do it to furniture, tools, mechanical devices. Excellent video. Btw, were they at all impressed with the quality of your work?

I don't get it... if LV cared so much about their brand, why do they insist on being known as a company who insanely overprices their goods? It's a fucking bag - it does the same thing as any other bag, only it's plastered in their logo so people who buy them are not only ripping themselves off buying them but are also giving the company money to advertise for them... Yeah, great brand there...
